Winter is coming ⛄

First Winter We are very afraid of winter, we have heard a lot of things, some good and some not so good. We think we are not prepared for -20C temperatures (just kidding, we should be). We already bought our jackets, boots, gloves, and hats, but nothing prepares you for those temperatures. At the beginning of winter everything is going to be very nice, the first snowfalls, new experiences, Christmas, and New Year (we hope all winter will be like that 🀞, being very positive).  Just to tell you that at work we have made a bet on what day we think is going to be the first snow day (Paula said November 15 and Laura said November 19, Juanita didn't want to participate) we are looking forward that one of us will win this bet πŸ€‘.  We are still waiting for the temperatures to drop, and start this Winter season. We will keep you informed.

Goodbye skies of blue

The most photographable time of the year! Trees are turning red, yellow and orange πŸ‚ (As you can see in the pictures is absolutely amazing) and the temperature is beginning to drop very quickly (if only summer could last forever) and we are now preparing ourselves for the cold of winter.

But we can't say that everything is bad in October because we have Halloween,  pumpkin pie, Pumpkin coffee, and pumpkin candles (basically everything that contains pumpkin is perfect)  and we are very excited to see what the rest of Fall has prepared for us.

Juanita, Paula, and Laura πŸ’›πŸ’™πŸ§‘

We want to show the reality of living as immigrants in Montreal. The beautiful and the not-so-beautiful of a new country and the new experiences that are lived with all the new cultures and customs. We want to show you the reality of Canada!  🌟

Be happy, get a tattoo πŸ˜ƒ

We really wanted to do something that represented our Friendship and of course Montreal-Canada.  Not long ago we were thinking of a tattoo! However, in our research for finding a place to do it, the majority were really expensive πŸ’°. In our college, Paula and Juanita study with a guy who got two tattoos in a place and it looked really good and was not so expensive. In less than a week we scheduled the appointment and here we are, with new tattoos πŸ’–!  Juanita got the phrase "Brave" because not everyone can start from scratch in a new country without knowing anyone, and Paula and Laura got the phrase "Merci" because were are really thankful for all the things that Canada has given us (new friends, new experiences, and a new life).

Failed furniture attempt πŸ‘Ž

Not everything is true πŸ˜“ We always hear that in Canada, many people take out their furniture and give it away for free. Sometimes the things they offer are in good condition, but let's be honest, most people don't take care of their things, at least here in Canada. For example, in Latin America, we are very careful with the things we have, but here, people don't care so much. We saw in a group that a guy was giving away his couch for free; in the pictures, it looked great, but when we got to his house, everything smelled really bad (cat pee), and the couch was totally different from the picture. We paid a man to transport the sofa to our house, but in the end we decided to leave the sofa outside and lost the money for the transport. In the end, we learned that you have to go see things first, and then if you like them, you organize yourself and pay for the transportation. Every day, we learn something new.
